Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of TalkMate. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into these terms and comply with applicable laws in your jurisdiction. If you are using TalkMate on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Service description

TalkMate provides AI-generated text and live voice conversations with virtual personas. Responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, unexpected, or unsuitable for your situation.

3. No professional advice

TalkMate is provided for general informational and entertainment use. It is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for decisions you make based on the app’s output.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use TalkMate in violation of law or the rights of others.
  • Do not attempt to abuse, reverse engineer, overload, probe, or disrupt the service.
  • Do not use the app to generate harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or rights-infringing content.
  • Do not use the app in high-risk scenarios where incorrect output could cause harm.

5. User content

You are responsible for the prompts, messages, recordings, and feedback you submit. You grant us and our processors the limited rights needed to operate, secure, and improve TalkMate, including transmitting your inputs through the providers required to generate responses.

6. Subscriptions and billing

  • TalkMate may offer optional paid subscriptions or premium features.
  • Billing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by us.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through the store account before the renewal date, subject to store rules.
  • Refunds, billing disputes, and subscription cancellation are governed by the store provider’s policies.

7. Availability and changes

We may add, modify, suspend, or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, continuous compatibility with all devices, or permanent support for any specific persona, model, subscription plan, or free feature.

8. Termination

We may limit or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, create risk for users or providers, or if the service is discontinued.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

TalkMate is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amedya and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business arising from your use of TalkMate.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of TalkMate after an update becomes effective means you accept the updated terms.
